Ride The Whip!
$500.00 Cash
First Place Prize

Full steam ahead to summer!

This is going to be a very exciting year for Michigan bikers. The new rules that will allow most people to ride without lids are here, after more than 40 years we won the fight! Make sure to read all about what you need to do in Jerry Aaron’s legal column he will give you the straight scoop!

I have to say, I love my new bike with over 3,000 miles on it since I picked it up from C&C Sports in Brighton I have had it almost a month and it is the bomb! C&C Sports may have the biggest selection of used and new Gold Wings in our area. It’s funny all the dealers I go into this is the one when I walked in and they had a new 2012 blue Gold Wing for under $20,000.00 no one else would touch the price! I elected to buy a ‘08 that was loaded. I highly recommend in this area to buy from this family owned business celebrating their 40 year anniversary this month! Demo Days are there May 29th & 30th.

Thunder in the Thumb Starts Ride the Whip rolls and you can win! All you have to do is ride, get your punch cards from any Whip or Thunder location! Party dates are listed on top of the bike night pull out calendar.  Don’t forget there will be many other prizes too!

This year I will be doing a bit more pleasure travelling, in June the Dragon’s tail is calling me, I plan to take a few days to ride the gap and get some R&R in well if you call riding a couple thousand miles R&R I do . Then my beautiful daughter who is currently completing her last year of college wants to ride to Rhode Island I think we will do that in July. This maybe our last Daddy Daughter vacation as she will enter the world of full time work. August I would like to finish riding the U.P. it will be like brand new with no lid on!

For those asking if I will ride with or without a helmet the simple answer is yes and no ha ha! In the City like on M59 I will be riding with a lid, up in the thumb riding the Thunder no lid but what is important is the choice and I am thankful to be allowed that choice, my advice is follow your heart but use your head.

Poor Boy Choppers has 2 events this month Denny’s Benny May 6th our long time friend and bike builder is fighting cancer and we will be coming together to help him out with some of the expenses, Triple Threat will be rocking at the shop!  May 20 it’s Poor Boy’s Dust off open house come see the brand new shop and Dyno Room, there will be food and drink at both parties!
Lucky Thumb on Snover is having motorcycle racing Starting May 19th located on Snover 3 miles west of M53 north of M46!

We waited all winter to ride now keep the rubber side down my friends look for Mark The Bird Dog riding in the thumb. Next Sunday we will be riding to Jacks R Wild in Brown City for a bite to eat make sure to spend your riding time in the thumb this season rediscover the great riding roads right in our backyard!
